Edson Hill
Located in a small grove of trees adjacent to a private residence on Edson Hill in Stowe, Vermont, the Edson Hill treehouse, constructed of sturdy, galvanized-finished steel and western red cedar, offers a unique sensory experience. An open, airy, screened platform, it’s a safe haven for reading, meditation, yoga or other quiet activities. Communing with nature—whether observing sunlight-dappled shadows, rustling leaves, blooming dogwood fragrances, or the melodies of song birds—is enhanced while ensconced in the treehouse.
An entirely unique structural system is the key to the treehouse’s freedom to sway in harmony with nearby trees without harming them. This system combines a pivoting base with a cable guy rig that attaches to adjacent trees and “translates” their motion to the treehouse. A staircase; a smaller, “approach platform;” and a roller and pin floating bridge permit access to the structure.
